This week's selection was a multilayer devil's food with chocolate ganache.
It took one hour to properly make the ganache (I am without an electric mixer). I think shaving down 2lbs of chocolate and beating it into the boiling cream was well worth it.

I REALLY wish you'd taken up baking while you worked here. Or that you worked here NOW while I am pregnant and LOVE cake and pie. (I mean, the baby loves cake and pie.) Your photos of ganache and homemade pie crust are pure taunting. But I still like you. Really. I mean it.
